Huelkenberg Roept Fia Op Veranderingen Door Te Voeren Na Schorsing Magnussen

Hülkenberg calls on FIA to make changes after Magnussen suspension

German driver says penalty was too harsh and could have been avoided

Nico Hülkenberg has called on the FIA to make changes to its penalty system after Kevin Magnussen was suspended for two races for causing a collision at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

The German driver said that the penalty was too harsh and could have been avoided if the FIA had been more lenient in its interpretation of the rules.

“I think the penalty was too harsh,” said Hülkenberg. “I understand that he caused a collision, but it was a racing incident and I don’t think he deserved to be suspended for two races.”

Hülkenberg also said that the FIA should consider introducing a system of graduated penalties, which would see drivers receive different punishments depending on the severity of their offense.

“I think a graduated system of penalties would be fairer,” said Hülkenberg. “It would allow the FIA to take into account the circumstances of each incident and ensure that the punishment fits the crime.”

The FIA has not yet commented on Hülkenberg’s call for changes to its penalty system.
