No one won the top prize in Wednesday's drawing, which is why the jackpot has increased to $20 million.
Tickets for the Powerball can be purchased at any lottery retail location in North Carolina.
The Powerball game is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
